What is Casual Checkers?

Casual Checkers is a delightful twist on the classic game of checkers, also known as Draughts. Based on the traditional English/American rules, this game brings the timeless challenge of outsmarting your opponent—whether it's a fellow player or the computer. With no flying kings allowed, it's a game of strategy and wit that's perfect for anyone who loves a good mental challenge.

How to Play Casual Checkers

1. Set Up the Board: The checkers board is an 8x8 grid with alternating dark and light squares. Each player starts with 12 checkers, also known as men.
2. Choose Your Checkers: Decide who will be the black and who will be the white player. Each player's checkers are of a different color.
3. Make a Move: Players take turns moving their checkers. A checker can move one square diagonally forward. Capturing an opponent's checker is done by jumping over it diagonally and removing it from the board.
4. Promotion: If a checker reaches the opposite end of the board, it is promoted to a king. As a king, you can move both forward and backward, and you can jump over other checkers in any diagonal direction.
5. Winning: The objective is to capture all of your opponent's checkers or block them from making a legal move.
