What is Mad Science?

Mad Science is a thrilling game where you step into the shoes of a researcher at the Institute for Atomic Weapons Research. In this lab, scientists have accidentally created a batch of highly radioactive marbles that are capable of setting off a powerful chain reaction when they reach the end of a firing tube. But there's a twist! These marbles have a fatal flaw—they detonate prematurely and can cause a catastrophic explosion if not handled properly. Your mission is to exploit this weakness and stop the chain reaction before it reaches the firing point, thus preventing an enormous boom that could level the entire building.

How to Play Mad Science

1. Set Up the Game Board: Begin by arranging the firing tube on the game board, and place the radioactive marbles at the start of the tube.
2. Choose Your Strategy: Decide on the path you'll take to intercept the marbles before they reach the end of the tube. Use your wits to strategize the placement of your research tools, such as radiation shields and protective suits.
3. Play Your Moves: Each turn, you can move one of your tools on the board to intercept a marble. Move carefully and think ahead, as each marble you stop is one less that could potentially cause a massive explosion.
4. Stop the Chain Reaction: Work against the clock as the marbles move closer to the firing point. If you manage to stop all the marbles, you win the game and prevent the big boom!
5. End Game: If the marbles reach the end of the tube, the game ends in a massive explosion, and you've failed your mission. But if you stop them all, you've demonstrated your brilliant problem-solving skills in the lab!
