What is Alhambra Solitaire?

Alhambra Solitaire is a captivating card game that challenges your strategic thinking and memory. The game uses two decks of cards, and your objective is to clear the board by organizing the cards into foundation piles. It's a test of patience and skill, where every move counts!

How to Play Alhambra Solitaire

1. Setup: Begin with 8 foundation piles, each containing 4 cards (4 Aces and 4 Kings) of different suits. The piles are built up from Aces (Ace, 2, 3, 4, etc.) and down from Kings (King, Queen, Jack, 10, etc.).

2. Tableau Piles: Below the foundation piles, you'll have 8 tableau piles, each starting with 4 cards.

3. Stock and Waste Pile: The remaining cards form the stock pile. You'll draw cards from the stock pile to the waste pile, one at a time.

4. Moving Cards: You can move cards from the waste pile to the foundation piles if they match the suit and rank (Kings wrap around to Aces).

5. Tableau Pile Restrictions: No new cards can be stacked on tableau piles. You can move a tableau card to the foundation piles or the waste pile if the waste card is the same suit and one point higher or lower (Kings wrap around to Aces).

6. Stock and Waste Cycle: Once the stock pile is depleted, you can turn the waste pile back into the stock pile. This can be done twice during the game.

7. Strategy: The key to winning is planning ahead and deciding which tableau cards to move to the waste pile. The more cards you can successfully place in the foundation piles, the higher your score will be.
